On May 5 2014 the Boreal Songbird Initiative and Ducks Unlimited released a new report looking at migratory birds and how they use the Boreal forest. Their conclusion: at least half the existing Boreal forest should be protected from industrial development in order to provide birds with the habitat they require, particularly in the face of climate change.
