Video - Transforming Our World: Valuing Alberta's Water Resources. Presentation by Bob Sandford

Bob Sandford, EPCOR chair for Water and Climate Security, discusses the change that is occurring in the global hydrologic cycle, its connection to climate change, and his role in the UN. He argues there are increasing threats to water security, food security, and climate security – yet these types of securities are critical elements of sustainability.

Since nature can no longer absorb the harm we cause to it, he discusses the significance of the United Nations Sustainable Development Summit 2015 and argues that change must happen at the national level, through good, responsible governance. This includes making changes in agriculture - including changing fundamental agricultural principles.

This presentation was a part of Sustaining Alberta’s Forested Headwaters: Science Symposium, which took place in November of 2015.
