Bright spots: Urban environmental initiatives in Western Canada: Report from Canada West Foundation

On September 24, 2012 the Canada West Foundation (CWF) released the report "Bright spots: Urban environmental initiatives in Western Canada". This report, the second of three based on the CWF "Missing Link" project, looks at initiatives being undertaken in western Canadian communities that have an environmental focus. Projects from Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg are showcased. Some common themes are discussed.

The first report is entitled "Tools of the trade: Urban environmental improvement options".

The third report in the "Missing Link" series will look at what public policy conditions need to be in place for these types of tools to be most effective.
