This report from the Regional Australia Institute looks at how communities in that country have coped after disasters (flood, fire, drought, etc.). After reviewing the literature related to recovery, the report concludes that communities need to work to adapt to new realities rather than try only to 'get back to normal'. The report includes a series of recommendations for recovery success.
