The Housing Market and Canada's Economic Recovery: January 2012

This report, released in January 2012 by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), concerns the impact that housing issues can have on the nation's economic recovery. Current problems in the housing market include a lack of rental accommodation, an aging population and the housing needs of seniors, and housing foreign or temporary workers. To ensure that Canada has healthy communities, the housing needs of all sectors must be accommodated.
