In the 2nd half of the 2013 "Green Paper" keynote presentation, Dr. Bill Deen presents his team's assessment of what are the changes that are imminent, urgent or transformative for Canada's agricultural system. With climate change as a driver, Dr. Deen makes the case that Canadian agriculture needs to rediscover the resilience offered by crop rotations and intercropping. He concludes by highlighting the opportunities Canadian agriculture has to address current and emerging challenges.
