Part 2 of 4
Beth Sanders, President at POPULUS, talks about the recent changes to Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), and the changes that will occur shortly. A proposal was worked on by CIP Council, provincial and territorial institutes and associations, as well as students, fellows, planning schools (ACUPP). Member consultation feedback is currently desired. CIP wants to know: did we get it right, and how can things be improved? Next, decisions need to be made. The governance model to best deliver and organize around purpose must be chosen, draft and recommend by-laws need to be completed, and then the members will vote.
This presentation was a part of the Alberta Professional Planners Institute, Edmonton Luncheon in October of 2014.
