"Monitoring soil water quality using trace elements: comparison of results from the Elmvale Groundwater Observatory with data from monitoring wells" by Dr. William Shotyk, University of Albert Department of Renewable Resources
At the 2012 Alberta Soil Science Workshop in Red Deer Dr. Shotyk presented on the groundwater sampling results using the Elmvale Groundwater Observatory vs. the monitoring wells commonly used for water quality testing. Trace elements were found in different concentrations, resulting from different sampling techniques. The goal is to increase understanding of how natural filtration of water by soils works, and how soil water quality can be better characterized.
