Mike Nemeth introduces a paradigm changing process for watershed management, collaborative modelling. The first trial was with the Bow River, where major water users along the Bow River collaborated in a modelling exercise to see if collectively hydro dam managers, cities and towns and irrigation districts could manage the Bow River to improve water quality under normal flow regimes and minimize the collective effects during drought. Mike Nemeth describes how this discussion/computer modelling approach works. He finishes by summarizing what was learned in the collaborative modelling process in the Bow River project.
