A new report just released by the group Water Matters indicates that Alberta could face water shortages unless long-term protection is prioritized. According to this Edmonton Journal article, the report explores the relationship between current laws in the province and water demands. The report recommends laws that do a better job of protecting river health.
Last week the province announced plans to start water consultations across the province.
