Alert issued for invasive Jimsonweed spotted in northern Alberta

Jimsonweed - an invasive plant otherwise known as Hell's Bells, Loco-weed, and Devil's Cucumber - has been spotted in 10 municipalities across northern Alberta. As reported in this CBC News article, the weed can grow to be very large, can be poisonous if eaten, and can be problematic if it ends up in seed or hay. Plants should be properly removed and disposed of in order to prevent further spread.
