The small hemp industry in Canada is starting to grow, according to attendees at a national meeting in Edmonton. According to this CBC report, the hemp industry is forecast to double by 2015. Saskatchewan is the top hemp-producing province, followed by Manitoba and Alberta. Hemp is used in many ways, from producing nutritious oils, fibre for clothing or rope, as well as paper.
