Keurig K-cup coffee pods from Alberta may soon help fuel BC cement plant

Unrecyclable K-cups are now being used by the Kamloops Lafarge cement plant as a way of moving from fossil fuels to alternative sources of energy. The K-cups are put through a complete combustion system, and the ash is used as part of its cement. As this CBC News article explains, there are possibilities for expanding the use of K-cups at other Lafarge plants.
