At the 14th North American Caribou Workshop held in September 2012, Rob Serrouya presented on recovery strategies being implemented in BC. One strategy involved moose reduction as a means of reducing predator levels. Caribou response to this has been varied. Genetic data and how it relates to selecting caribou for translocation is also discussed.
