Brian Merglas describes Ontario's Water Technology Acceleration Project (WaterTAP). He starts with the opportunities with the Ontario Clean Water Agency and its responsibilities for 700 water treatment facilities across Ontario. WaterTAP specifically is to assist Ontario's water technology companies to commercialize their technologies. He describes the water technology industry in Ontario, a consortium for water innovation and Ontario's Showcasing Water Innovation $17 million program. MaRS is a clean tech incubator program that also has a $30 million angel fund for start-ups. He finishes by talking about the "right balance" and how WaterTAP works with that philosophy.
