Alberta woodland caribou recovery plan 2004/05 - 2013/14: Alberta Species at Risk recovery plan no. 4

Developed in 2005, this plan outlines strategies and actions to protect woodland caribou populations in Alberta, a threatened species under Alberta's Wildlife Act. A variety of strategies are outlined, as the specific actions will vary by range. Caribou herds were categorized by population status, which determines the actions and urgency required for that range. The ten-year timeline of the plan was designed to progressively improve the status of caribou in Alberta.
