Alberta's water at a crossroad: Summary and recommendations

At the 2012 conference of the Alberta Institute of Agrologists, Dr. William Shotyk presented his paper on "Alberta's water at a crossroad: Summary and recommendations" subtitled "There must be something in the water: Natural variations and human impacts on water quality in Alberta."   Dr. Shotyk reviews the current state of Alberta's water, potential threats to water in Alberta, and opportunities for change. Recommendations include taking a multidisciplinary approach to studying water in Alberta, in particular through several new initiatives developed at provincial post-secondary institutions.
