Fresh: Edmonton's food and urban agriculture strategy

The City of Edmonton's Food and Urban Agriculture Advisory Committee released their report, entitled Fresh: Edmonton's Food and Urban Agriculture Strategy on October 1, 2012 and it was approved by City Council in November 2012. The report, which offers Strategic Direction recommendations for the city, addresses the role of urban agriculture on Edmonton's food system, and how food and agriculture contribute to the city's economy.

The vision, goals (5) and strategic directions (9) were formulated after extensive public consultations. Several "Open House" forums are scheduled to be held for further discussion with the public.
