A review of management actions to recover mountain caribou in British Columbia

The BC government implemented a mountain caribou recovery plan in 2007.  Prepared in 2009 after a 2-day workshop, this report evaluates the caribou recovery actions to date and provides recommendations on how to proceed.  Recommendations include immediate action related to reducing wolf and moose populations, herd augmentation, as well as recommendations to continue with existing actions to protect habitat.
