Harry Harker, planning consultant at 1st Principles Planning, uses his own work experiences to discuss the importance of communication, cooperation and other soft skills in successful inter-municipal relationships and projects. He discusses successful public engagement projects, and what happens when unsuccessful communication and collaboration for major municipal planning projects unfold in the media. The importance of face-to-face communication and relationship building is emphasized.
