Video - Construction Matting to Protect Native Grassland. Presentation by Jane Lancaster

Jane Lancaster, senior vegetation ecologist and partner at Kestrel Research Inc, discusses construction matting and its ability to protect native prairie land. She discusses primary restoration risks in rough fescue grassland, such as wind erosion, as well as various range health indicators, such as litter quantity and human-caused bare soil. The benefits of matting are compared to seeded ground with regards to native species health on range sites.

This presentation was a part of the Foothills Restoration Forum 9th Annual Fall Information Session that took place in November of 2015.
