Interview with Dustin Bajer, teacher at Jasper Place High School in Edmonton, Alberta. He discusses the importance of diversity in ecological systems to make them more stable and resilient, and argues that diversity in social groups is just as important. He uses the example of urban agriculture in a school environment, explaining that the more people who get involved, and the more ways it is incorporated into the curriculum, the more likely it will last and be beneficial to the students in a variety of ways.
