2013: 140 community gardens in Calgary, Alberta. 5 years ago there were 11. Gael Blackhall is the Coordinator of the Community Garden Resource Network for the Calgary Horticultural Society. She explains how this networking and educational organization supports the beginning community garden in the City of Calgary. The Community Garden Resource Network runs classes like "How the Extend the Growing Season", and supports the Community Garden Database.
