Gael Blackhall, Coordinator of the Community Garden Resource Network for the Calgary Horticultural Society, talks about their partnership with the City of Calgary to help community gardens emerge and thrive. She explains the City is excellent at making spaces available for growing food and providing start-up resources for citizens interested in starting community gardens, while the Calgary Horticultural Society provides educational services.
