Steven Wilson, coordinator for the BC Boreal Caribou Research & Effectiveness Monitoring Board, discusses their current collaboration with the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) regarding research on moose distribution and abundance related to anthropogenic habitat change.
He also talks about research involving wolves’ use of caribou habitat related to moose distribution and abundance, and how predator-prey abundance and behaviour interact to put caribou at risk.
This presentation was a part of the Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada Ecological Issues & Resource Access Forum. It took place in November, 2015.
