Jeff and Julilynn Gillies, Rancho Relaxo, Rocky Mountain House, talk about their acreage farm showcasing permaculture and energy conservation. In  Part 1 of their presentation at Food Secure Canada's Assembly, Nov. 2012, they cover their initial energy conservation efforts. With a course in permaculture, they moved to composting and raised bed gardening. "Compost Tea" as a replacement to inorganic fertilizers for forage production is described.
