Vulnerability of Canada's Tree Species to Climate Change and Management Options for Adaptation: An Overview for Policy Makers and Practitioners

In 2009 the Canadian Council of Forest Ministers produced a report to examine the likely impact of climate change on Canada's tree species. With over 100 species of trees (93 of which are important commercially), Canada's trees are likely to be negatively impacted by climate change in the future. This report provides specific information on what the impacts are likely to be for each species, what can be done to mitigate those impacts, other management options that will need to be considered, and what more needs to be discovered.
