Video - Subsoil guidelines for hydrocarbons at Alberta green zone sites. Presentation by Miles Tindal and Bonnie Drozdowski

Miles Tindal and Bonnie Drozdowski summarize what are their research proposes as the subsoil guidelines for petroleum hydrocarbons limits for reclamation of oil/gas site in the forested areas of Alberta (The Green Zone) on public lands in remote locations. The rooting depth of typical tree species in Alberta were verified in the field with the literature for fine soils and coarse soils. Miles Tindal then describes the series of experiments conducted to develop Petroleum Hydrocarbon (PHC) limits for typical environmental risks in Albera's Green Zone.

Miles Tindal is a principal with Millennium EMS Solutions Ltd. His presentation was part of the Petroleum Technology Alliance of Canada's Soil and Groundwater Forum, March 2013.
