Tanner Broadbent, Area Range Management Specialist for Alberta Environment and Parks, discusses lessons learned from the 2012 Twin River fire as it relates to rangeland recovery. He reviews a brief history of the land and how it exists today.
The ways in which fire changed the plant communities is discussed, as well as specific information such as the types of plants that responded to burning and the types that were unaffected. He closes with land management recommendations.
