At the Foothills Research Institute's Caribou Workshop in January 2012, Conrad Thiessen presented information about the current research completed and underway in northeastern British Columbia related to the boreal caribou herds. Telemetry data provided population estimates and habitat usage, and was compared to industry use of the landscape.
