Ron Sparrow with Trace Associates, talks about remediation and reclamation of oil and gas sites in Alberta with the help of wet areas mapping. He goes through some case studies that show how wet areas mapping combined with aerial photos and vegetation interpretation can lead to suitable species selection and also plan for natural regeneration on the site. It also leads to identification of problem areas on the site that may not be apparent even from site inspections.
