CAPP, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, has produced a series of Operating Practices for hydraulic fracturing for natural gas. These operating practices support member companies in their commitment to the Guiding Principles for hydraulic fracturing established by CAPP.
Operating Practice #4 describes the processes that will be followed to ensure sound wellbore design, construction and maintenance in order to protect groundwater resources.
