Part 4 of 5
David Spiess, GIS Unit, Lead Engineer, for Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development (AARD), discusses the new Alberta Soil Information Viewer (ASIV).
Speiss explains how to map a farm. He talks about how you can bookmark the coordinates of a farm, and add features to it, such as a well. With this program, you can also determine the length between two objects, and create buffer zones.
This presentation was a part of the Alberta Soil Science Workshop: The Role of Soil in a Changing Climate, in February 2014.
