Part 2 of 2
In Part 2 of Drs. Anne Naeth and Vic Adamowicz presentation "Land and People: An Outlook of Opportunity or Inevitable Decline", Dr Anne Naeth summarizes the significant progress and the challenges in Alberta's land reclamation activities. Dr Adamowicz covers Alberta's biodiversity risks and while the focus may woodland caribou, the agricultural zone is where the most species are at risk.
Pay attention to: natural capital, the role for First Nations, and the relation of productivity growth to innovation and research. There is a "nature deficit disorder" and Albertans have a responsibility to "Reconnect to Nature". Do Albertans behave as if they belong to the land?
